Networking Event to Connect Women Leaders in Health Care
Women make up 70% of the global health care workforce, and yet hold only 25% of executive and leadership roles in the industry, according to the World Health Organization. In a field that is seeking diversity in leadership, encouraging and connecting women leaders is one of many strategies that is important in driving necessary change.
On Feb. 15, TruStar Marketing is honored to sponsor the first full Council Women’s Connect Event to bring together women from Nashville Health Care Council’s (NHCC) member community. This driving event has grown from the success of the previous women in health care networking events sponsored by NHCC’s Leadership Health Care (LHC) initiative.
Due to the event’s prior success and the importance of women in the industry, NHCC in 2023 is moving to expand the opportunity beyond the LHC initiative to the full NHCC membership for the first time. The LHC events included end-of-the-day beverages at various Nashville venues.
TruStar Marketing has been sponsoring the LHC event four times a year since 2019. We are uniquely excited to be the presenting sponsor of the expanded event.
The first event will be a friendly and fun start of the day with coffee and breakfast bites at Virsys12, a woman-owned health care technology consultancy in Brentwood. Virsys12 Founder and CEO Tammy Hawes and TruStar Marketing President and Chief Strategist Paula Milam are also both members of the Women Presidents Organization.
“The Women in Health Care Connect Event provides a friendly, informal setting to meet women leaders and professionals in health care,” said Milam. “It has always been a delight to attend and sponsor because of the incredible and delightful, accomplished women who attend! I hope this premiere NHCC event is seen as the best way to start the day ever.”
The event will be held from 7:30-9 a.m. CT at the following address:
Virsys12
278 Franklin Rd
Suite 300
Brentwood, TN 37027
Online registration is open to all NHCC and LHC members and closes on Feb. 13. To learn more or register, visit the NHCC’s Council Women’s Connect event page.
